Self
Some believers think they can do as they please at work and save their “really good service” for God. But Jesus tells us to give to Caesar what belongs to him. The same thing goes for our employers. They are paying your salary so they deserve your best performance. Unfortunately, many job seekers talk about poor pay or mistreatment in their last job as their justification for giving less than their best. Then they wonder why they were invited to leave. If this sounds like you, it’s time to rethink your attitude. When you accept any position, you make a commitment to give it your very best. As a representative of Christ, you need to be excellent. Don’t take a job if you won’t make that commitment.
